The Talyllyn Railway is probably alone in still being able to run its complete original passenger train dating from the 1860s, and invites you to enjoy a Conducted Tour featuring this unique train, travelling in the original coaches behind an original locomotive.

The train will depart from Tywyn Wharf Station at 11 a.m. It will make photographic stops, allow time for visiting a local hostelry for lunch or for forest walks or more photography as well as a visit to Pendre Works and other railway features. The return to Tywyn Wharf will be by 3.45 p.m.

This train will run on the following THURSDAYS in 2008.

  • 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th June
  • 3rd July
  • 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th September
