Whether the answer is yes or no then the YMG and the Talyllyn railway are the place for you!

The Talyllyn Railway Company presents
Young Members Group
and their YMG day

This day is the perfect opportunity for anybody aged between 14 and 25, or younger! to come and find out what its like to work on the Talyllyn railway.

The whole of the railway on this peak service day will be run by members of the YMG (young members group) with each person being fully qualified for the operational duties they are undertaking.

The railway has always thrived itself on the strength of its Young members and has often had many more younger volunteers than other railways. To this day this hasnt changed, we simply want to encourage more and more people to come and join us.

Come and see what its like to volunteer in both Loco (engines) and traffic (guarding and stations) departments, see the working parties we organise and the socialising we do!

On this particular day all kids travel free!

There will also be many other activities running. Come and find out what its like on the footplate of an engine with rides along The Edge, see the garden railway running, wagon building competitions and much more.
